originated site very close to my home.

It's where I go to get inspired, reflect and collect my thoughts.

It's also a place that reminds me of why I've become a Sustainability Consultant; it's places like these that we must preserve for future generations

My Story

As far back as I can remember I always wanted to be an inventor.

It's why I studied Industrial Design Engineering at the renowned Delft University of Technology, where I mastered product engineering, design thinking and innovation management.

After working at several multinationals I landed at Dunlop Protective Footwear where I became part of the Management Team, steering the company towards it's future destination with accountability for Innovation & Sustainability.

My achievements during my 12 year tenure at this globally leading manufacturer of safety footwear includes:

The first ever biobased PU boot launch (30% biobased content)
30% Recycled content boots launched and circular programs initiated to return products at end of life
High quality approach (policies - actions - results) awarded with 3yrs in a row EcoVadis Gold rating
Significant tCO2e reduction since 2019 and clear 2030-2055 targets and roadmap
50+ innovative products launched, all in-house manufactured for our global consumer base of farmers, fishermen, builders, workers, etc
Technology (R&D) roadmap responsibility with 5 patents granted and IP accountability
The opening of a 'Slips, Trips & Fall R&D Centre' aiming to eradicate STF accidents using data science
Boots on Smart Services (BoSS) IoT based business model development

My Mission

It's both my personal and professional mission in life to prevent the largest amount of GHG emissions possible.

It's why I became a Sustainability Consultant and why I use public transport or shared cars whenever possible, buy second hand products and live a vegan lifestyle.

I hope my three young children will later agree that I did everything possible to fight climate change.
